This policy is applicable to all of the Websites, software and mobile applications (“Apps”) and/or payment platforms offered by PinniSOFT or its subsidiaries or affiliated companies collectively referred to as PinniSOFT “Services”.

PinniSOFT”, “we”, “us” or our” in this Privacy Policy means the entity that is responsible for processing your personal information. “Customer” suggests that you have registered with any of the services, "Visitor" means that you only browse our services. The term "User" here refers to a Customer or Visitor. "You" refers to you as a Customer or a Visitor.

It is always up to you to disclose Private Linking Information to us, although if you choose not to, we reserve the right not to register you as a user or provide you with any of our Services.

Our Privacy Policy is to provide users whose personal data we hold with description of the types of information we collect, why we collect that personal information, the other parties we may share it with and the measures taken to protect the security of the data.

B. INFORMATION WE COLLECT FROM THE USERS THAT VISIT OUR SERVICES?

When registering on our Services, you will be asked to enter your identity data (name, economic sector, service industry, geo location), contact data (email address, physical address , phone number, mailing address, billing address), identification documents (company identification number, photograph (if needed), government issued identity details), log/technical information ( visiting hours to our services, links clicked on, visit periods on certain activities, device details), financial data (credit card information, information from financial institutions and insurance companies when we act on their behalf), marketing and communication data, records of contact between us or any other details to help you with your experience.

You can object to such contact from us or opt out from the marketing. Please note that if you opt-out of marketing content, we may still send you messages relating to transactions and our Services related to our ongoing business relationship.
  10. We may ask you for permission to send notifications. Our Services will still work if you do not grant us consent to send you notifications.
  11. Such information is used by our subsidiaries, affiliated companies or other trusted businesses or persons to process private information on our behalf.   13. We track all the information associated with the e-mailers and web pages that are viewed by the Customers, as well as clicked hyperlinks by the Customers while visiting or viewing our Services.
  14. Customer usage is tracked and monitored by log files. We collect the IP (Internet Protocol) address of the visitor to track the problems of our server and to manage our Services.

All Private Linking Information provided to us, either directly or through a reseller or other business partner will;
  1. Not be rented or sold to a third party without your permission.
  2. Be protected through us taking the necessary precautions from loss, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.
  3. Not be used and or disclosed except: as necessary to provide services, in other ways described in this policy or to which you have consented otherwise, when your identity cannot reasonably be determined (statistical surveys), as required by law, to a beneficiary organization in the event of a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or other sale or disposition of all or a portion of our Services.

The beneficiary organization’s use and disclosure of your Privately Linking Information will continue to be subject to this privacy policy unless a court orders otherwise, the beneficiary notifies that your Privately Linking Information will be subject to their privacy policy with an opportunity for you to opt out (which may cause you not to be able to continue to use the services), as necessary to enforce the Terms and Conditions, as necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of PinniSOFT, its users or others, and exchanging information with other organizations for fraud protection and/or risk reduction.

F. HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION?

  1. Our Services are scanned regularly for security loops and known exposures in order to make your experience as safe as possible.
  2. Your private information is contained behind secured networks with firewall and data encryption and is only available to limited number of persons who have special access rights to the systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.
  3. We hold personal information on our servers for as long as necessary and as long as we are providing Services to you.
  4. Disclaimer; Although we take extensive efforts to store the information on our Services in a safe operating environment, which is not available to the public, we cannot assure complete security.

Your privacy responsibilities to secure your information includes but are not limited to:

  1. Not sharing your user ID, system and one-time passwords (OTP. Please refer to our OTP policy), verification codes with anyone else.
  2. Log out of our Services when you are finished.

  2. Right to request access or copies to your private information held by us by signing into your Account or contacting us.
  3. Right to request that we delete your private information. This is a restricted right that applies to data no longer required, has no legal justification or we are not required by law to retain your information. The exceptions to this right are where the relevant law requires us to hold a historical archive or where we keep a core set of your personal data to certify we do not contact you in future if you object to your data being used for marketing purposes.
  4. Right to correct or rectify any private information that you provide which may be incorrect, out of date or inaccurate.
  5. Right to object to the processing of your private information in certain circumstances. Objection to processing might hinder us providing services to you.
  6. Right to not be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing.

G. HOW WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?

  1. Your consent. You also have the choice at any time to withdraw consent which you have provided. You also have a choice to deactivate your Account at any time. You may contact us should you wish to de-activate your Account at any time via helpdesk@pinnitags.com or through our known contacts.

Where we are unsure of your identity, we might ask you for proof of your identity for security reasons before dealing with your request.

H. WHAT WE USE TO COLLECT YOUR INFORMATION?

Our business is global with affiliates and service providers located around the world. As such, private information may be stored and processed in any country we have operations. Your private information may be transferred to countries with different data protection laws as the country you initially provided your information, but whenever we transfer or transmit your information internationally, we take reasonable steps to guarantee your private information is handled securely in line with the country you provided your information guidelines.

K. AUDITS.

Every so often, we grant access to the Personal Data Protection Office established by the National Information Technology Authority -Uganda (NITA-U) for the monitoring, investigation, report on the observance and promotion of the protection of the right to privacy and of personal data.

We shall permit the performance of other functions as may be arranged by other applicable laws or as the Personal Data Protection Office considers necessary for the promotion, implementation and enforcement of the provisions of the DPPA.

L. PRIVACY POLICY UPDATES.

From time to time, we may change, amend, or review this Privacy Policy to reflect new services or changes in our Policy. All changes made will be posted on this page and where changes materially affect you, you will be notified of the change by placing a notice online or via Email.
